iconJoin Our Walk Me Home Team for a 5K walk on May 3, 2008!

To kick off Foster Parent Month, The Therapeutic Foster Care Program of Kennedy Krieger Institute is participating with the Maryland Foster Parent Association in the first nationwide walk for foster care. The purpose of the walk is to generate awareness about foster care and foster parenting, to recruit new foster families, and to raise funds for the Maryland Foster Parent Association.

The 5K (3.1 mile) Maryland walk scheduled for May 3, 2008 will take place along the Gwynns Falls Trail in northwest Baltimore. Walkers will start at the Ben Cardin Picnic Grove Pavilion (Winan’s Meadow), located at 4500 Franklintown Road.

8:30 AM Donuts and Juice
9:30 AM Kick Off Walk
11:30 AM Pizza and Soda
